North Pole, where Christmas is celebrated all year long, is located fourteen miles east of Fairbanks on the Richardson Highway. To the west of North Pole, is Fort Wainwright, home of the “America’s Arctic Warriors,” and Ladd Field, a historic airfield. To the east of North Pole, is Eielson Air Force Base and the Joint Pacific Alaskan Range Complex which stretches 67,000 square miles across Alaska’s interior and into the Gulf of Alaska.
